GENERAL TERMS & CONDITIONS FOR VEHICLE RENTALS

Driving Licence

All drivers must hold a valid driving licence for at least one year. An International Driving Permit (IDP) is required for all drivers who are not citizens of European Union member states. International Driving Permits are valid in more than 150 countries and include the holder’s details in Latin characters, along with a photograph of the driver.

Reservations & Vehicle Groups

All reservations are based on vehicle groups and not on a specific vehicle model. We always make every effort to provide the selected vehicle model. However, if the selected model becomes unavailable for any reason, our company reserves the right to provide a similar vehicle (same group/category) or a vehicle from a higher category at no additional charge.

Vehicle Delivery & Collection

We offer free vehicle delivery and collection services throughout the island. Our office operating hours for payments and settlements are from 09:00 a.m. to 08:00 p.m.

Vehicles may be delivered either to your location or collected from our office, where the rental agreement will be completed and the vehicle handed over.

At the end of the rental period, the renter must return the vehicle to our office for inspection. We will then transport the renter to a location of their choice on the island.

Fuel Policy

The vehicle is supplied with a full tank of fuel and must be returned with a full tank. Any fuel difference upon return will be charged to the renter.

Traffic Violations & Fines

Any traffic violations, fines, or penalties incurred during the rental period are the sole responsibility of the renter. If such fines are not settled before the end of the rental period, the authorities may request the renter’s details and send the fine directly by mail.

Payment Methods & Accepted Credit Cards

Renters may pay in cash or by credit card (Visa and MasterCard) at our office.

Taxes

All rental prices include 17% VAT.

All Rental Rates Include

  - Unlimited mileage

  - Vehicle delivery and collection at a mutually agreed location

  - Child seat (up to one per vehicle)

  - Additional driver included in the rental agreement

1. Third-Party Liability Insurance

What is Covered?

Third-party liability insurance covers:

  - Death or bodily injury to third parties, including passengers using our vehicle

  - Property damage caused to third parties

Coverage is provided up to the minimum limits required by Greek law.

2. Collision Damage Waiver (CDW)

What is Covered?

For selected vehicle models and upon request, renters may purchase additional Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) coverage.

This insurance package is not included in the rental price and is available at an additional cost.

In the event of damage to the vehicle, the renter's maximum liability is limited to €500.

What is Not Covered?

The CDW does not apply to damage:

  - To the underside of the vehicle or tires caused by driving on unpaved roads

  - To mirrors, antenna, or the roof of the vehicle

  - Caused while driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs

  - Caused by persons not listed as authorized drivers in the rental agreement

  - Resulting from theft or attempted theft of the vehicle

In the event of an accident, the renter must notify our company immediately.

Reservation Confirmation

Your reservation is considered confirmed once you receive a confirmation email containing your arrival and return details, delivery location, and after payment of a deposit equal to 30% of the total rental amount.

Electric Bicycle Rental

The minimum age requirement for electric bicycle rental is 16 years.

Cancellation Policy

  - Reservations may be cancelled free of charge up to 15 days before arrival.

  - If the reservation is cancelled within 14 days of arrival, the deposit is non-refundable.

Late Return

The renter is required to return the vehicle on the exact date and time specified in the rental agreement.

If the vehicle is returned after the agreed return date and time without prior approval and extension of the rental agreement, the renter will be charged an additional daily rental fee according to the applicable seasonal rates.

Ferry Transport & Driving on Unpaved Roads

Driving on unpaved roads is strictly prohibited.

None of our vehicles are permitted to leave the island of Patmos.

In the event of a violation, the renter will be charged:

  - A penalty fee of €100

  - All expenses required to return the vehicle to Patmos

  - The rental cost for all days during which the vehicle remains unavailable for rental until its return

Traffic Tickets & Administrative Fines

If the renter receives any traffic ticket or fine, they must notify our company immediately.

The renter is responsible for paying all fines, penalties, and charges resulting from violations of the Greek Highway Code or other applicable regulations.

If the police or another administrative authority confiscates the vehicle's licence plates during the rental period, the renter must immediately compensate our company.

The compensation amount will be calculated by multiplying the total number of days the vehicle remains without licence plates by the current season's daily rental rate.
